If you had a choice of keeping a female albino ball or a male , which one has more value as a breeder if :

The female albino bred to a normal male or

The male albino is bred to a normal female.

Do you get some albinos from the first hets ?
Do you get all hets or 50% hets normals from the second?

Any expert opinion is welcome.

going with a female or a male will make no difference here other than the fact that the female will only be bred once and you can use your male and breed him with several other females. either way they will both produce hets and you can then breed the offspring back to the albino parent or each other and they will all produce more albinos for you.

Well it is really up to you what you have in mind..

Female Albino breed to a Normal Male you have 100% Hets

OR

Male Albino breed to Normal Female you have 100% Hets

and to this Normal and this Normal and this one too, oh and one more... all 100% hets.

OR

Albino male to a 100% Het Female... 2-3 albinos and all rest are 100% hets.

what about 100% het to 100% het, that would give you some albinos and the others 100% het, correct?

The normal looking babies would be 66% het albino.
