Steve,
I went south last weekend and found one snake, a patch nose. It was a lot of fun to be down there, but we didn't start hunting until 12:30, so I guess that is why we only found one thing. I am going to try and go again this weekend and start earlier, hopefully that will improve my luck.

Notice the temps are not as warm as they were a couple of weeks ago. If they were in the high 80s(daytime) you would be able to hunt much later at night. I would keep watching the temps and when the hit almost 90, hit it hard. Keep it up, you will find good stuff.

Take Care,

Steven

If yo don't mind my asking, what area are you collecting?

We went to Freer/Hebronville area last weekend and saw about 55 snakes live and dead. That included Friday night, Sat. and Sat. night. Mostly atrox with the occasional glossy, garter, emory, 1 baby pituophis and 1 micrurus at night and some whip snakes and atrox during the day.Fun trip but no anulata.

I was looking for annulata and hognose when i went down 16 betweem 1962 and 624 inbetween freer and tilden. Like I said, i think it may have been a little late
