Does anyone know if a permit is required to breed ball pythons in virginia?

No, no permit required as far as I know of. As a hobbiest, you're free to do just about anything in that regard. The only way I see a problem is if you become a bona fide "livestock" producer/business and your location is not zoned for livestock. Certain localities and municipalities within the state may have restrictions on species which can be kept, but these are usually not inforced on private individuals in their own home (unless a "problem" develops). Check you city or town code for any such restrictions. Good Luck

ya, VA is great, no one cares about what anyone else is doing. The only thing we aren't allowed to keep is hots, and you could probably get a permit for those.
