wont that be too stressful? when she was handled at the pet store she hissed and got real upset.

just grab the hide, take off the lid. and kind of shake the hide to get her to go into yr hand. she should go into there. if she doesnt well then, i would say try to just stick a cricket in tweezers make sher u make it move around ALOT!! another thing dont give it right to her to eat, stick it outside of hide, this is if she wont come out onto yr hand just make it as slow as u can and she shouldnt get to stressed out.......

Just let her stay in there. Did you put food in the tank? If so, did you count how many feeders you put in? If not take them out and count them then put them back...if so, then leave them overnight. If she hasn't eaten them by morning, then take them out and clean the tank really well and make sure her hide is nice and moist and she has plenty of fresh clean water. Then leave her completely alone for 2 or 3 days...don't so much as go near the tank if you can avoid it except to check the water. On the 3rd or 4th day try feeding her again...she should have settled in by then and the sudden introduction of food after not seeing any for a few days should stimulate her feeding response. When you feed her don't move anything in the tank if you can avoid it, just put the food in and let her have at it...if she doesn't eat immediately leave the feeders in overnight.

yeah there is about 50 meailies in there. i was told to go with mealies because crickets are too fast for ajuvinile leo. she has clean water and she was out last night checking everything out. she walked past the dish with the mealies in it and i put i few in front of her to let her know that she had food. the dish with the mealies is next to the hide, the other thing i'm concerened about is her drinking. she is in a moist hide but it will dry out overnight tonight because i havnt sprayed since yesterday.

Crickets aren't too fast for juvies...juvies are faster than the adults as far as I've seen...lol Some prefer crickets too. I'd leave the mealies in there overnight...and in the morning see if they're eaten. If they're not, do what I said and get the cage really clean and stuff. If you're worried about the humid hide drying out (do you have paper towels in there?...also she'll be fine tonight if its not too wet or if its dry) just put more paper towels in, with the ones on the bottom soaked and put dry ones on top....then mist the top...that should get it to stay wet for a few days. Really don't worry too much about her yet...they can go for quite a while without eating.

Me too i got my very first gecko this weekend...the first crix i put in his enclosure run away and hide before my gecko can move, so i take a few more crix and i just cut their legs with a scissor....now they dont run everywhere...i put then in a shallow dish and they cant get away. Works for me And seeing them wiggle stir the interest of my baby gecko !

the only problem with that is i cant handle crickets. i can just drop them from the bucket to the tank.
