To start breeding Corns?

LizardLuva Mar 30, 2004 07:35 PM

ok just a small simple question, to breed? ok i no im only a teenager, but eventually ill sumhow end up with two snakes, if i get a ball python. Now if i have a local expo that i could possible sell them at, and am willing to pay the expenses, do u think a good idea to start breeding, also, what are some good color combinations, that could be possibly under $300 for at least the start up,(not including vet bills, etc)?
Thanks

One very important consideration is to breed a morph that has demand. This will allow you to move the babies that you produce (good price or not - if there is no demand then you won't even be able to give them away). However, if you only have to tend with a single clutch, then this won't be a terrible problem. I say go with the types that suit you. I personally love a good okeetee and albino okeetee, and these maintain a certain demand despite their prevalence (make SURE you get good founding stock for these). I also like good miami phase and hypomelanistic miami phase (again, good founding stock is important).
