wierd poop!

soph Jun 12, 2003 08:42 PM

When I woke up this morning, one of my geckos had pooped just mealworms! Really gross! There wasn't anything else in the poop but mealworms that looked all squished! It wasn't just in one corner of the tank like usual too. It was all over half my tank in little pieces. Did this ever happen to one of your geckos? Should I be worried? Could it have thrown up instead? It was just really wierd! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

It was probably thrown up, this has happened to me leo b4. I actually saw it happen, and it wasn't a pretty sight lol. I'm not quite sure y they do this....but could possibly be cause by over feeding.

Thanks for responding! I guess it would make more sense that one of them threw up! I had fed them the night before and I think it was my male cause he goes a little crazy with mealworms! The little brat doesn't seem to like crickets too much anymore so when I give him meal worms he goes nuts and eats a bunch. How many should he eat per day? I don't want this to happen again!

more than likely it regurgitated them because it ate too much.
