greetings, I was wondering if I have a terrarium with approximately 3/4 or 4/5 glass to screen top, and I would like to use a fishtank air pump to pump in additional fresh air, could this work? -Thank you!

that's what i do. i use a small air pump to pump air into the water area. i have virtually a completely sealed system. it has been this way for over 2 years. all i do is pump in the small amount of air and all seems to be fine. although my system is not good for orchids and other epiphytes that need air movement. i have very little air movement just enough fresh air to keep molds from growing and the water from becoming stagnant. I have a full glass top with all the creases taped to keep int he bugs. but as i said i think the air pump is a good idea if you are not going to go with the small cpu fans that many people here use.

I wired my Holmes ultrasonic humidifier with two plugs so that the fan is on the low setting during the day and off at night. I then have the ultrasonic part on a seperate timer to come on for three minutes at the begining of each hour. The fans in these humidifiers are vertually silent I cannot hear it with my stand closed.
