Hi,

We're going to need more of a physical description to help you - a million things could be called a "spotted gecko". What color was it? Does it have sticky pads or terrestrial toes like leopards geckos? It could be Tarentola annularis (White spotted gecko), Oedura tryoni (sometimes called Sothern Spotted Gecko), or a host of other things.Check those first, and if those aren't it, try to give a better description.
