Damn things hatched 2 days before Hamberg

EricKlees Jun 12, 2003 09:12 PM

Figures, just my luck. I rest my eggs on a shelf in a room I keep at 78 but it will flux a bit to 72ish. So of course it extended my incubation time to about 69 days. I was hoping to get them out and ready for the show about 2 weeks ago but its cool letting them go cause you never know when they are gonna hatch, 58 days, 65 days, 70 days.

not to mention if they are actually temp determined sex, then I shoudl have a better chance with females.

I will post pics of the babies in a few.

Eric

One looks fire, teh other has the striped tiger markings but isnt showing any color yet. I will know once they shed. The belly on the tiger looking one is orange though

IM jsut wondering if you have any cresties that have actually "darkened" in color as compared to when it was hatched.
I have 2 cresties which were a very dark rusty red to which both have lightened up quite a bit.
Thnx in advance
Yes i agree, damn fine specimens!

Yeah, I had one actually get almost black and a peach and the red was as bright. The tail formed a peach/orange compared to when it was a cream color.

Wished I had kept it. A friend has that one.
