Boa constrictor imperator, Bci, 4 1/2 - 8 feet long: i.e. Colombian, Hogg Island, Nicaraguan, Sonoran Redtails

Boa constrictor constrictor, Bcc, 7 - 10 feet long i.e.: Surinam, Peruvian Redtails

Bcc are considered true redtails. There are several websites that talk about the differences between the two.

What the reptilian says about BCI vs. BCC is true...

Another thing to keep in mind is that female boas typically grow to a greater length than male boas. So pick accordingly.

I heve even been told that Bcc are even harder to breed and to start babies eating is tricky.
