I want to switch to news paper. My ? is, what happens when you spray the cage down, does the ink get everywhere? I like every other aspect of news paper over aspen.

The ink will run and get all over everything. It was very clear to see that it got all over our albino boa shortly after spraying the tank down. Another option would be buying unprinted newspaper. I do not know where you can find this but I have heard it works great. Essentially it is newpaper w/o ink. Good luck.

I have not had the experience of having the ink bleed onto the animal. I keep many bloods and soak them on occasion and don't see it. I keep and albino burmese on paper and only once had ink bleed onto his belly. There must be different types of ink with different drying requirements.

I use newspaper.., I dont have any problems at all with it.., I keep my older Balls on newspaper and keep the hatchlings on Papertowels.., I cant think of a time that my newspaper ink bled onto my albino BP's.., You can go to your local Newspaper office and ask if you can buy a roll of there unprinted paper.., usually they dont have a problem with it..,
