Leopard Frog MIA. . . crying kid. . HELP!!!!!!!!!!

tink Mar 31, 2004 05:41 PM

Hey all. My daughter bought a leopard frog last night and today it seems to be missing. It was in a tank with a retile lock top but all day no frog. I thought it would come out tonight that maybe it was hiding but so far nothing. I have gone as far as to look under all the moss. There is a thin layer of wood chips under that. Can they bury in wood chips? Anyone have any idea how to see if he's still in there other then dumping the whole thing? I did spinkle some water over the tank because that always brings the taod out. Could he of gotten out? Anyone with one of these tops knows that even locked they have a small amount of lift to the edges. But the lift is small and he was (still is I hope) a good sized frog.

My daughter is getting a bit upset at this point . . any advise quickly would be GREAT!!!!!!!

Well I have alot of experience with those little boogers. Well while it is possible that it escaped I doubt it they are very good hiders and they could dig under bark if big enough.
