Welcome to Jeff's Reptile update, followed by a pretty dumb question...

Alright, my skink Ezra is doing very well now. He seems to have adjusted, comes from underneath the sand fairly regularly and eats.... so yay to that.

Quizno, my rescued Red Tail Boa is now on Florazine for his mouth rot, has gotten 3 shots (still 7 I have to give him), and has become much more active, and has eaten. So again, Yay to me. lol

Now on my leos. They are all adjusting well, and seem to be happy, however.. I'm noticing them having a bit more trouble with shedding since I removed my sand and went with repti-carpet. Now I attribute that to taking the Bed-A-Beast out because that junk made a terrible mess, and even with misting 3 times a week they don't have a "humid" hide. So, what can I use in their hides that works fairly well at keeping them humid, but doesn't allow the crix/mealie/supers to hide in it with ease??

congrats on your skink and snake!

as for your humid hide, keep it simple! damp paper towel works great. just fold it up and there you go...no mess and super easy to clean. good luck!
