ok my leo was dehydrated and she wont eat or drink any water so i got a q-tip and she bit down on it and i was dropping water in her mouth. she was ok with it at first but after i took the q-tip out she had a runny stool and like a clear liquid jell started coming out of her nose and mouth. the vet gave me some parazap. but why would she do this? please post a reply.

Did the vet do a fecal exam? If so, what did it show? Could she have a respiratory infection? I know you are very stressed right now, but could you please provide more information like... how old the gecko is and how long you've had her, what is the her background, what are her other symptoms, etc. I do not know anything about Parazap, but her dehydration and whatever is coming out of her nose and mouth concerns me, too.

if you are able to get some liquid in her try pedalite (sp?) its a little better then just water and a big bottle is only a few $. i havent heard of parazap, and im a vet tech, im asuming it was for a parasite, did he tell you what kind or is the vet just assuming its parasites, it could be bacterial fi there is nasal oral discharge and then an anti biotic is needed
good luck!
