Important Crested Gecko question!

I acquired a male crested gecko at a reptile show...does any one know how much time he should be spending on the ground of the terrarium?? He is on the ground much of the time and i didnt think he was supposed to... i know much about snakes but geckos im not so sure on so any good info would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

They sleep on the ground... and they sleep a lot, so that's where you'll see them. I got a new crested a month ago and I've never seen her out and about, my older one will hang out on the glass sometimes.
