Have you med her. i.e flagyl or panacure and if you did then try nutri-bac to replenish her gut flora. Hope this helps

during this time make sure she doesn't look to dehydrated. If she looks very skinny (loosing weight) go to Walgreens and pick up some pedialyte or you can use gatorade...soak her in that a few times a week to keep her hydrated. You can also try nutribac as stated by the the poster above me .. it's available @

Once the two weeks is up and she has been treated feed her a small meal with not alot of hair. Maybe a big ratpink or fuzzy. But to be 0 positive what's going you should really take her to a vet.

make sure to use the clear gatorade... not that the colored/flavored ones cause any harm, but you will temporarily 'dye' you boa ... whatever color.

REGURGE IS CAUSED BY THE PERSON KEEPING THE BOA 9 TIMES OUT OF 10. IF YOU FEED MOST BOAS WITH A MEAL ALREADY IN THEM, THEY WILL REGURGE. YOU MUST LET THEM DEFICATE THEIR PREVIOUS MEAL BEFORE FEEDING AGAIN. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT IN KEEPING TRUE REDTAIL BOAS. UNFORTUNATLY ALOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS HOBBY OVERFEED THEIR ANIMALS AND THIS LEADS TO REGURGE AND GUARANTEES AN EARLY DEATH. IF YOU FEED THEM WHILE IN SHED YOU RISK REGURGE. IF YOU FEED THEM TOO LARGE OF A PREY ITEM THEY WILL ALSO REGURGE. PEOPLE ARE THE CAUSE OF REGURGE NOT "REGURGE SYNDROM" THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WAS MADE UP OUT OF A LACK OF EXPERIENCE. ANYONE THAT HAS KEPT BABY SURINAMES OR BETTER YET BABY BRAZILIAN AMARALI KNOWS HOW EASY IT IS TO MAKE THEM REGURGE. THREE RULES TO FOLLOW, NEVER FEED WHILE IN SHED OR GOING INTO SHED, NEVER FEED UNTIL THEY HAVE DEFICATED THEIR PREVIOUS MEAL, AND NEVER FEED TO LARGE OF A PREY ITEM. I HOPE THIS HELPS....

To believe that any group of animals is prone a "spontaneous" regurge response is more like an excuse. "It died and it was the snake fault". I'd love to blame it on the snake rather that my own husbandry.

I had a newborn male guyana sent to me after his first shed.To make a long sad story short that snake was just not meant to be on this earth. My husbandry was perfect,I did experiment, near the end but no feeding schedule, and i tried them all, would save this snake.I spent over a grand in vet bills because the poor guy couldnt even hold down water.

On the other hand with my other true redtails i agree 100% with cagle....Paul.
