Selective eater..

MagickDragon Apr 01, 2004 07:58 AM

Well, its going great with my new frilly. It has lightened up in coloration and is eating well...on mealworms. That is all it seems to want to eat. Is that ok?
The mealies are about 1/2 inch long and I try to get the ones that have just shed. Any suggestions on getting this little darling to eat other foods? Or, is it ok for it to eat worm type foods altogether? I worry since I am sure this diet is lacking variety. I know they usually don't eat many greens, but I still offer them daily anyway. Thanks in advance

They VERY RARELY eat greens. Many never do. You can try some different insects for variety--crickets, roaches (many different kinds of roaches, and experiment with different worms (mealworms, silkworms, superworms when he's big enough).
