Yes it is a Hopi Rattlesnake. My son took the still pic while we were putting together my 3 minute video for Survivor IV. Obviously I did not impress the producers LOL

The snake temporarily (a few minutes) had its mouth taped shut with electical tape. It was not harmed, in fact I still have him with his mate and a few other rattlesnakes; along with with my 100 or so colubrids.

Okay, that picture in my head of you running around screaming with your welding gloves on just got funnier. I didn't really have a face on it before...lol. Very nice pic. Weirdly enough I always thought of you as older, I think because you talk about "back in the day" sometimes. What were you like ten back then? Thanks for the post. It's nice to put faces to names.

The olden days for me were the late 70's early eighties.Living in central illinios the term exotic was used on fantail goldfish or male guppys.hehehe.Then Myron opened Worldwide pets in Creve Coure and he made the news with snakes,birds,monkeys,
etc.In the summer of 1980-83? i bought my first snake a wc burmese for 300$.He even threw in mites,ticks for free.hehehehe.
Not to mention all the wc watersnakes,kings,black pilot snakes,bulls,hognose,bullfrogs,leapord frogs,toads,crawdads,snappers etc,
i collected as a kid.We lived next to a lake, 2 creeks,and woods
there was always something to be found.My dad thought it was cool but my mom would have fits and somehow everything i caught managed to escape.hehehehe...Paul

He%% i thought nobody even read my posts.hehehe.Thanks for the compliments.Here is a tip to stay looking young.Cut off most of your hair.Then add 30 pounds of weight to smooth out the wrinkles.Then throw in a bad hybrid goatee and you to can look 30 at 40.Im currently working on how im going to look 40 when i turn 50.I think i have part of it figured out.Im gonna drop 30 pounds,shave,and get my hippy hair back....Paul.
