i am about to adopt this pembroke welsh corgi next week. his name is braken. i can't wait!!! i am just soooo excited...it's been years since i've had a dog. my parents started to get cats when i was 13 and then i went through a wild series of pets before settling on lizards...rats, frogs, tropical fish (i know something better that fish tank can be used for ) and then when i was 19 i got my first lizards...i'm 25 now...

anyway, here is the picture, and here is the website so that i'm not stealing pictures: www.coltsfootcorgis.com

Awe!!!!!! What a cutey!! Corgis are great little dogs You'll have lots of fun with it!! Just watch out 'cause they tend to be heel biters!...that's what happens when dogs are bred to chase cattle and bite at thier heels...lol

thanks! i know he will be full of energy...but i can't wait. i had a friend with a corgi and he was great. i'm going to take him to obedience school and everything, considering this is the first time i've had a dog since i've "grown up!"

My dog's name is real close to that. It's Breckin. It's funny cause I thought I had made the name up...but about a month ago I found out that it was a real Irish name. Don't know the meaning though.

yeah, it comes with that name...i was thinking that we could call him "old salty dog..." cause bracken--brackish... we were thinking of maybe changing his name but where he is already 14-15 weeks old who knows how he's going to take the name change.

brecken is a great name! really original. what kind of dog was yours?

i am really soooooo excited!!!!

He's a border collie/greyhound mix. Good luck with your pup. I love dogs.
