rmuniz007 Jun 12, 2003 10:35 PM

I HAVE TRY TO FEED HER OTHER FEEDERS LIKE CRICKETS AND SUPERWORMS AND SHE DOESN'T LIKE IT. I TRY SOME SILKWORMS AND SHE ONLY TRY 2 MED SIZE. SHE IS A YEAR OLD AND LOVES NOTHING BUT WAXWORMS. ANY IDEAS ON GETTING HER OFF WAXWORMS.

Easy answer what would you rather do starve or eat a mealworm/crix?

I'd take all food from the leos cage for 2-3 days and then try reintroducing mealworms. Eventually her hunger will over come the need for waxworms and she'll eat again. I made this mistake when I 1st got my leos and one of them became an addict.

I've heard of this method working from a few diffrent people.

hahaha,
no but geckos arent stupid. When they are hungry, they will eat. I know this sounds harsh, but starve your gecko and dont give it another waxworm, only leave mealworms or crickets available. Eventually, the gecko will eat because they would rather eat something that tastes bad, then starve.
