how to tell if it's a dwarf or a spectacle caiman?

i recently bought a 16" dwarf caiman.but i somehow suspect it's a spectacle caiman.but both almost looks the same!how do you tell if it's a dwarf or a spectacle?although i trust my dealer,i just want to be safe.thanks

Specs have a bony ridge going between the eyes. Lengh and scutes are another way but can sometimes be hard if your new at it.

But you'll have a more difficult time trying to distinguish between P. trigonatus and P. palpebrosus.
