Trial and error LOL

Sometimes I get good pictures, others they are total trash! I find the more background light the better and set the camera on macro mode.

Get a window that the light comes through pretty strong. Put a normal white sheet over it to diffuse the light. Slide a table over to it, and I like to put a neutral even piece of cloth over the table (another sheet works pretty well). Put your camera on macro if you're going to have to get closer than 3 feet (not all cameras) and maybe use a little fill flash (backlight flash) if your camera has it. Or have a pro do it for you LOL (it's my day job).
