I took Leela to the vet with a swollen abdomen thinking it must be an impaction from eating the playground sand substrate. She weighs approx 30 grams and her belly became swollen over the course of a couple of days.
The vet said it definitely was not an impaction and that it was fluid in her abdominal area - he was not sure if it was in the belly or perhaps her bladder was quite swollen and full.
I have tried baths, etc. I have not had a chance to isolate her yet from her tank mates to know if she is eating or pooping. I will be doing that later but was wondering if anyone had heard of anything like this before. She is a geyri.
