ok heres my question. My igg is growing what looks to be some spikes (like on his back) on his nose. there are 4 of these in a row. will they grow to be full long spikes??
also , can you determine if it is a male or female by this. Tiny is to young to tell so far...

Nursed back from dehydration!

Some iggys will grow horns on the top of their noses. Mine don't have them and I don't know anything about the horns. I'm not sure when they start to show up. The pictures I have seen of iggys with them they don't get real tall. Mike d has a big iggy with horns. He will probably post when he gets on. I wish I knew more.

Well, my ig has two (and they are about 1/4" long)... I've heard of igs with three, but not four (yet). I don't think they indicate male or female...

when they get longer ill post a pic of it. there will be 4 unless one breaks off

you cant tell male or female by this.. i have seen males and females have both.... the only real way to tell male from female is but looking at the pores on there under leg with you cant really do until they get to be around 1.5 t-2 years old i belive.
