Veiled Chameleon not eating fruits, but eating plenty of crickets.

Hey all, my 6 month old veiled chameleon (which was named Monster by my niece) has not been eating the fruits i have given to him. So far, i give him orange slices that i have pealed and thuroly washed. He doesen't seem to notice the oranges, which i attach to the plants i have in his encloser. How can i get him to start eating his fruits and veggies? Altough he isn't eating the oranges, he is eating plenty of crickets. Last night, i hand fed him a dozen medium crickets, he eats about 3-4 small and/or medium crickets a day, and he looks like he will be ready to shed soon. Also, it would really help if someone can give me a list of ok fruits and vegtabales for veileds, or if any veiled owners can tell me what fruits/veggies they feed their veileds and how?
Thank you all very much

I'm not sure on a list of safe veggies and fruits, but go for the colourful fruits like mango, peach, strawberries (especially those) and all the soft ones. No apple seeds or any other seeds just to be safe (strawberry seeds are fine, you can't do anything about them). The birght red of the strawberries makes the chams go nuts. Just attatch a paper-thin slice of strawberry to the cage or a favourite stick, and the cham will go nuts for it.

I've never had any luck getting my veilds to eat oranges. They love blueberries. Try collared greens attatched to the side of the cage with a small chip clip. Put a thoroughly washed hibiscus in the cage. They'll eat the leaves and flowers and this will give them a place to hide too. Make sure there are no fertilizer or perlite pebbles in the soil. Good luck
