I bought a proven pair of ornates last year and cycled them. They've been warmed up for about a month and eating well, but kept separately.
When I introduce the male, he does all the head-bobbing and gets in position to copulate for a few seconds then seems to lose interest and crawls away.
Any thoughts on this? I'd like to hear other's who have seen this behavior.
My guess is that the female is not ready yet to mate.
