A good site for info is http://beautifuldragons.com./ as for the largest dragons they are the German Giants they are generally considered the healthiest but not the most colorful. that is why many breeders breeed crosses. A pure bred line often has health problems but not always. No hard and fast rules, just do not get a dragon that has been inbred. And any animal that is a great buy examine very carefully, Good luck and if you have any questions this is the place to ask them.

Congrads on the research before buying the dragon! Really, the best way to get the info is to get a couple books, I checked mine out from the local library and search through the web sites that have all of the care sheets on them. I started with all of the web pages from the people that visit here on a regular basis. There is just so much info someone could post here, it is better to do a bit of reading and then fire away with the questions.

Briefly: many different types out there with colors rangeing from tan and brown to bright orange/red and white. Temps differ for the age of the dragon, and so does the food requirements. Care with opposed to snakes is ALOT more, as I found out with going from one young corn to two baby dragons! Just like your big snakes, the dragons will need a large (60-90 gallon) as adult, and that is just for one.

Hope this helps.
