Which is a better starter pet?

I was wondering which is better to start out w/.....a whites tree frog or a leopard gecko??....I wasnt sure what forum to ask this on lol...thanks ahead of time

The leopard gecko if you want an animal you can hold, and a white's if you want something to just watch and not hold.

Ok, Thank you very much for answering my question.....I've been doing alot of research on both....I think I have decided on a Leopard gecko....I'm planning on getting a 20 gallon long tank...so should I get one or 2?

That should be sufficient for 2 as long as you don't get 2 males, because 2 males would fight.
