Here is my new guy getting into his usual chaos. He is determined to go where he isn't supposed to.

Recliners are so dangerous for iggies. Imagine if somebody didn't know he was twisted up in the bars like that, and sat down and cranked out the footrest, or put it back in- squash!

What a cutie. I think Chaos is the perfect name for him!

I know what you mean. At first I didn't know how to get him out if I couldn't open the chair. I was able to see that he was in a spot where he wasn't near anything that moved so I opened it and got him out. I stuff couch pillows under the ends of the chair when he is roaming around now.

I love your pics of your Cuban. They are great. The one with the cat is great too. Chaos seems to be the perfect name for your new baby. I finally got my Cuban today after like 10 years of wanting one. He's not the friendliest little bugger, but I am sure with lots of tlc, he'll be great. I am posting a pic of him later. Good luck with yours he is gorgeous.

Thanks. I'll have to check out the picture. I think you will be really happy with a cuban rock iguana. I've been told they are like puppies. That is how mine is. He is really mellow and funny. The only time he gets hyper or jumpy is when I first take him out of his enclosure. After about a couple seconds of holding him he calms down. I set him on the paper and he goes potty and then is free to roam the house. I keep him out of certain rooms though. He is just so awesome in everyway and I never would have thought to get one if I never went to see him. I can't believe that the people I got him from tryed to find him a home for months and noone wanted him. They lost out and I got lucky.

You did get very lucky. I can't believe he sat there all that time with no one wanting him. Oh well, he was better off. He has a great home now.

How long have you had Chaos now? I forget. I haven't been on the forums for a while. I know mine throughs a nice little fit when you first get it out. Hisses and opens its mouth and then 5 minutes later is very calm and pleasant.

I adopted him on March 25th. I held him and he just stayed right on me and didn't even try to jump off. He was very calm and content. I held him for over an hour while we walked around the pet store to get some new bulbs and stuff for him. Have you tried having him chase grapes? Chaos loves that. Someone posted to me from the ceclura message board that their cuban rock iguana would chase grapes for hours. Just be carefull because he might not eat anything else after eating grapes. Chaos wouldn't eat anything else after that, but now he will eat other stuff. I had to cut back on giving him grapes and he finally started eating everything else. He is still a picky eater and has slowed down eating. It's probably because he isn't getting enough heat during the day because he roams and it's hard to keep up with him with the lights all day. He likes 4 different windows and I don't have 4 more heat bulbs or uvb bulbs so I have to keep moving them. How is your guy eating? How old is he/she? I am going to post some new pics, but I'm on the wrong computer right now. All the pictures are on the other computer. I got a good picture of all three of them in the tub.

Not quite sure on age or origin for my new little baby. Haven't tried the grapes yet. All it has been eating is those damned iguana pellets that I hate so much. I really don't feel that they benefit from those pellets as much as fresh greens and fruits. But it is nice and fat and appears to be healthy now. Apparently, the cuban wasn't very healthy when the guy I got it off of first acqiured it. I just wish it would eat more fresh stuff. I guess once it's acclimated I will try cutting back on those nasty little pellets and adding more and more greens. I hate saying it. I wish I knew for sure male of female and I wish I could choose a name. You chose one quickly. Usually I am really good with naming my critters, but can't seem to find it for this one. Can't wait to see more pics.
