Did I buy the wrong bulb?

sila Apr 02, 2004 10:16 AM

I keep reading that the Reptisun 5.0 is the kind of bulb that is good for dragons and its flourescent. I bought this way too expensive Zoomed powersun mercury vapor bulb.Is this not the right kind? Did I just waste my money? I use it for heat and uvb is this okay?

The powersun is a good bulb. It provides heat and UV whereas the reptisun only provides uv. If you want to compare them (and others) go to Veronicas site beautifuldragons.com and she has a great chart that she has started over there.
