Rats again...

How old do the pups need to be before a male can be introduced to a colony?

Also, my female that had a litter of six die last month just had a litter of seven and five died. Before this she always had big super healthy litters. I have no idea how old she is but I thought she's fairly young. Is it time to retire her?

If you add a male there shouldn't be any pups in there. The male will probably kill them because they aren't his. So you will have to wait until they are either weaned, or you kill them off.

I say if she has another litter that has alot of babies that are dieing or still born then it is time to replace her with a NEW female (not one of her babies.)
