Custom Enclosure Question

lateron Apr 02, 2004 04:02 PM

Hello people, I have a problem. I built an custom enclosure for my ball, but I dont know what to use for the inside flooring. I know it must be waterproof, and I didnt want to use sheet metal because it would get to hot. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks

You should probably give more details about the materials and construction of the enclosure but I'll assume you used wood to build it. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and find teh isle that has melamine. There is 1/8" thick board with a white front and brown back. Some people call it melamine(it's not) some people call it tile board. It looks like a dry eraser board to me. Get a sheet of that. Cut it to the dimensions of the bottom of the enclosure and caulk the edges where it meets the walls. Allow several days for the caulk to cure. Most people like to seal the sides too but I don't think it's totally necessary. This would be the quick cheap and easy way. Someone else may have a suggestion on a more involved way such as sealants or whatever.
