Sav leaking

smithicus Apr 02, 2004 08:15 PM

Had a question about my Savanna. She started leaking from the area were her nose would be. Sorry I should probably know everypart of my lizards body by name. She just started today! She still seems really active and she has not lost her appetite so is this normal and I am over reacting or could this be some thing were and I should take her to the Vet? She is about 4 months old.

I can't tell you whats right but I can tell you what I would do.

Make sure that your lil one is getting enough heat by that I mean 120 basking spot. Also an ambient range of 70-80 throughout the enclosure.

Try not to spray any water at it, keep it warm, take it from there and see how he responds. Good luck

From where its nose would be????? It's missing it's nose?

haha sorry that just sounded odd.

Well did it just get done drinking? sitting in it's water? or did you just feed it?

If so then handling can disturb the belly enough for them to drool.

Is it coming out of the nostrils or out of the mouth?

You'll have to give more details.

Like everyone else, drinking water usually causes water to come out through the nose(if they had a big one). The nostrils do deliver water back out sometimes.
