Old Roy Dog Biskets for mice?

qtkitty Apr 03, 2004 12:31 AM

Since old roy is one of the foods people seem to feed their rats and mice around here as a cheap more grain type food .. are their dog biskets about the same ? They are mostly corn and meals.

I tossed one in this afternoon and they seem to love the crazy huge bone in their cage .. plus it served to keep all their goodies in the corner .. which they are all over the place now .. they got dog food, seed, and rolled oats.

BTW they seem to really like their cage and what i have for them in it .. i gave them a little flat like box and they have been chomping and making holes in it to run around through and they have a huge pile of shredded newspaper to dig around in .. and a water dish and a pile of food .. and every time i come in the room the female runs out and starts sniffing the air like HI food time HUH HUH and the male runs for cover *lol* .. She doesn't mind being picked up and he will run and hide from you. I know im spoiling .. but most of the time they are left alone but i dont want them to bite me when i go to change their cage or take babys out and stuff.

The percents are 15%protien 5% fat 3.5% fiber and 12%moisture

The bones start out their list of ingredients with wheat flour wheat middlings, meat and bone meal, animal fat, and then different bones have different flavors ... i am assuming that the lighter bones are milk flavored... i just tried calling their customer service to ask more Q's *rme* what a rip no one was there and they are supposed to be open from 8-4:30CT and its 10:30 EST here *lol*.. time difference i hate it *LOL*

There are dyes in some of them .. but i gave the grain colored ones which had no dye.

With those %s I wouldn't give them on a regular basis. Mice that are breeding should be nearly double that.
