Optimum temps for breeding rats?

medusah Apr 03, 2004 07:12 AM

Hello All,

Up to now, I had been keeping my rat colonies in my snake room that is kept at a constant 82 degrees. I am now expanding in the basement were temps fluctuate in the 65-70 degrees.

Will they breed as well in this range of 65-70?

Thanks for your time replying

They would be fine in those temps. Biggest things are....you may want to supply nesting material. And don't make the change too suddenly or they could get chilled.
