I have a small problem.

I have my 2 baby alli snappers in a 20 gallon tank and one of them has some sort of skin problem. His skin is turning white and faling off, but not in flakes, more like a slime. It first started at his back feet, and now is moving closer to his head. The tank mate of his does not have the same problem. I first thought that is was how they peel, but as soon as the white falls off, the skin underneath turns white and starts to fall off.

I dont know what to do.

They are in a 20 gallon long tank full of water, but has a large rock that goes to the surface (1 inch of water between top of rock and surface). There is no artificial light on the tank, but light from teh window does shine in.

The tank mate is growing quite fast, and has no problems like this. The turtle with teh skin problem is not growing (well, very slowly anyways).

Please, if you have any suggestions on how i can save my little guy, please tell.

Thanks

Mike Byers
