You can see the development of the embryo. At about day 40 it's easy to see the little snake swimming around inside. It gets harder to see what's going on after about day 50 b/c the baby takes up almost all of the egg. If the egg has died it will be obvious when you candle it unless it is very late in incubation.

Even if the eggs are only 2 weeks old? I'm doing to breeding thing for the first time so I'm sorry if I'm acting stupid! Thanks for the reply.
You are not being stupid at all. Yes, you can candle them again just be sure to leave them in the position they have been in all along, don't turn them over or anything.
Christy
cool thanks! I'll do it right now

don't worry.....you'll know.......
they'll turn yellowish,green,blue green,,sweat.....and yes...they'll stink.......
let them go till they stink......
they can die after 40 days......and set there till the 65 days are up.......and you'll never smell it too......till you cut it open on day 70++.......LOL
......most smell and turn greenish really fast....
let them alone............

That is what I'm afraid of because mine changed color. They look like someone took a marker to one side of the eggs, and a couple stank, so I got rid of them. Also will the mother kick out the bad eggs that she is coiled around?
