If your snake is healthy, shedding only takes a couple hours, so I don't see how it matters when you start counting the DAYS.

guess I should have said when the shed (going pink) process starts, or when the old skin is done shedding off.
You count from the day they shed. Sometimes they go pink (blue) the day after ovulation, sometimes a week after, and I've even had 2 or 3 be in the blue when they ovulated.
Always count from the day they shed.
