Gravid Female: What do I need for her to lay eggs?

knddrags Apr 04, 2004 10:27 AM

I cannot find my book on dragons and I can't remember what to get for her to lay eggs. She is about to pop! Also, what is the easiest incubator? I heard they are easy to make or chicken egg incubators work as well.

Ok so you bred your female, ~4 weeks ago and now that she is about ready to lay eggs you are going to prepare for it???? How do you plan to care for the babies. Have you done the research on this?? I am sorry to come off strong but it really doesn't seem like you have planned this very well.

OK, get a rubbermaid container filled with moist sand, or sand/dirt mix so that it will hld a burrow. Let her lay in that. for the eggs you want an incubator set up in advance so that you know temps are correct. rubbermaid sandwich containers/deli containers filled with vermiculite moistened.
this is all f/ memory and i have never bred. please go to a reputable breeders site and look @ their care sheet.
