Is there any known danger/ benefit to feeding the fuzzy little catepillars that are falling from all the trees in the southeast right now?

Is there any known danger/ benefit to feeding the fuzzy little catepillars that are falling from all the trees in the southeast right now?
I think alot of caterpillars have toxins and they are probably very fatty. I wouldn't recommend it.
Fuzzy caterpillars are generally toxic, or at the least the fuzz is an irritant. It is best not to feed things that you find, especiialy if you don't even now what species they are.

If you want to feed them Catepillars why not try Zoo Med's Can O Pillars?
Or are you just trying to play the "free food" angle?

Yes, just because they're free. I have about 400 crickets right now but these catepillars are all over my backyard so I was jut curious if anyone knew their "content"
