if you scroll down the main collared lizard page till around March 24th you will see a listing with this title:

Is a pic I recently posted. Chino and Chia mating.
You said your Kane was headbobing, well then, when they try and mate,
the male bites the females neck (to hold on) and then this is what they will look like if they mate.

Their tails are inter-twined looking.

If the female does not want to, she will struggle to get away, OR stand high, like with her back hunched up.
She may try to roll over when he grabs her, also.

But if she kinda just stands there like in this pic, they will mate.

Oh and what kind of fish are they that he has ? I have fish, may be able to help. Or Someone else may have them , on here.

Or atleast we can find you a good site.

Let me know what they are Mike.
May be dying because of the water, how does it look?

won't the biting hurt the female? if Kane did that to Kora she would like bite him, my girls don't take crap from anyone LOL. the fish are discuss. anyway, i don't think Kane has the guts to mess with the girls. i can barely get them off me, when they climb on my arm, i pick them up to put them down and they go wild. They will let him Mike, no matter how wild they are with you !

But if they are not, then they will not let him. The pic I showed you is what it will look like if they do !

Normally the male will not hurt her, it looks terrible but shes usually fine.

I say USUALLY, because yes, sometimes the male gets too rough, and can bite to hard and make her bleed.
If that happens seperate them. My male got to aggressive last year with my female and hurt her.

But this does not always happen.

Here are some Discus fish sites for ya Mike. You can even ask questions, and one has a forum !
