help my pacman

nebraskaz71 Apr 04, 2004 03:33 PM

Hi, i've had my pacman for a few years now. I also have many other different pets. I feed my pacman a small mouse like once every six months just for something different. Well today i got a real small mouse and i stunned it a bit before i gave it to him. My frog caught it right away and ate it. Now i look at my frog and almost on his nose theres 3 very very tiny scratches with a small amount of blood. It looks like a scratch mark. They dont look deep or bad or nothing but there definately there. Will he heal quickly? Should he be ok? I will no longer feed him mice, to dangerous. thanks

Why did you only stun it?I would've given it a few good blows to a desk or table or somethin like that.

Mice have an uncanny ability to come back from the "dead" after they're whacked. I had to feed live mice to one of my newly acquired ball pythons before she accepted frozen/thawed, and I'd always remain vigilant until she constricted the thing herself. But horned frogs don't wat mice in the wild, and are not really equipped with the body parts to quickly and safely(for the frog) kill mice. So I don't think ya should feed mice anymore; they are also too high in fat.
As for the scratches, I would think that you could put some neosporin on them (Not the kind with pain reliever added in.)
