Anyone ever heard of herpes in a snake???

I had a female Gray banded kingsnake that died recently. I sent her off for a necropsy. The report states that she had a systemic viral infection with inclusions consistant with Herpes virus? Is it contagious? Anyone with info on this PLEASE contact me.
