This debate has been gone over as well.. Just because a child is with a large python DOESN'T mean its in imminenet danger of being eaten and/or harmed. Obviously there were attending adults due to the use of a camera. It is not child abuse to allow a young child with a large constrictor. It may be child endangerment but not abuse. I argued this one with people who thought it was right to remove an 18 ft burmese python from someone's home because they had 3 kids that were allowed around it. This family had a room size cage built with motion sensors in the entryway and locks all over the place to safeguard their children. The snake had been taken to schools since it was little.. had been around those kids including their 6 month old baby for its entire life. While there is SOME danger attendant in it.. its no more than letting your kid walk up to a strange dog to pet it. As a matter of fact... the snake can be a bit more predictable than even a dog can.
