Hey Tokay,

Eggs were laid Feb 10th and hatched Apr 4th so 54 days and incubated at 82 deg F.

Also the other girl hatched I will take pictures of the two later and post them. Both are health and perfect!

awesome..mine were laid March 3rd and are incubating at 83*f, hopefully they'll hatch sometime in may

lostkauze Apr 05, 2004 08:49 AM

My first clutch was laid Feb.2nd. Incubated at 80. Can't wait!

These still haven't hatched? Are you sure they're fertile and that temp is correct? I never give up, but this is a really long time at 80 degrees. I show them likely to hatch on or about 20 March.

Don't give up, but seems strange to me that they're not out yet. Good luck!

I was thinking it was a little warmer, so they should hatch any day now.

I use a spreadsheet called DateCalc(2/3 way down the page). It keeps track of your average and expected hatch dates. It saves a ton of time trying to use a calendar to determine when they'll hatch.

Using Tim's 82F @ 52 days (Exactly what my experience tells me, too), you'll likely have them by 23-24 April. Probably back that up a couple days because you're incubating a degree warmer...I'm unsure how many days a degree equals. If you're using a hovabator or something like that, you're probably not keeping exactly 83F, though, so I don't think we can predict the exact day. It's probably safe to say you'll see some babies before May, though.

Good luck!

wow..thats even more awesome.....i use a styrofoam box for my incubator it works great, although over the past 2 weeks the bottom sodes of both eggs have turned somewhat yellow...im and definatly sure they are fertile, one egg is huge..the other is smaller but bigger than they were laid..

Josh06 Apr 05, 2004 07:33 PM

Hey, could you explain your incubator for me please? The one I used last couldn't stay constant and I had a lot of problems. I appreciate it. thanks,

JOsh

its a styrofaom box(square) i put the deli cup with the eggs on the right side and 2 small cups of water for the humidity
it holds the temps pretty good, since they were laid its held a constant temp of 83*f, its simple, dont have to pay over 35 for it..you could get a styrofoam box from a fish or meat market for free, good luck

Hey, Thanks Rob. Good to see you're back. Ya, I'm about 90% sure that its fertile. Its my first hatchling, but don't have high expectations. It should be anyday now. That organizer looks good. Thanks

Michael

Not yet Marcia, but they are in the incubator right now, with more on the way!!! Here's the daddy of the mix between your and Shayna's
