dehydration

aligoonbaba Apr 05, 2004 02:14 AM

I have a baby columbian redtail boa. he seems to be dehydrated. i have water in there with him, but he doesn't like to go in it. Should I be concerned and do something about it? Or will he take care of himself? He is eating fine, just wanted to know if everything is ok. thanks.

Now I do =) What is the ideal humidity?

davidag02 Apr 05, 2004 01:09 PM

"Ideal" is a very subjective term...

Between 65 and 70% relative humidity is usually considered ideal. You will probably need to bump it up some to about 80% when your boa is about to shed.
