as a baby, she was white with black, and now it appears that the black is turning brown where it is thin.

Nice snake Kerby. My first king was a crisp desert Phase and I still think the b&w CalKings to be some of the most beautiful of all Lampropeltis.
Although I keep Easterns from NC south and Floridas now, I do want to get a nice looking Cali again.
Again...really sweet looking snake.
