I was wondering are there any frogs that I could get that dont eat bugs? I dont mind feeding worms or fish mabey even the occasional mouse but no crickets! I really like frogs but I really really hate bugs! I can get what ever it might need but I just dont want to feed it bugs! Thanks for any help!

Doubtful. The frogs need a varied diet. Maybe some of the aquatic frogs would work well for you. Fish and mice are not exactly acceptable food items, and definitely with any regularity.

A lot of people also look for snakes that don't eat mice. Egg-eaters simple aren't practical for beginners. Along the same lines, there just aren't that many amphibians that don't invertebrates in the wild. You could... instead of looking at feeding insects to frogs as something negative, use it as a way to force yourself to be less fearful of them. Expose yourself to your phobia and it WILL go away. Did I ever think that I would be dipping my hand into a bucket full of crickets and mealworms and raising hissing cockroaches? Heck no, but I do it anyway!

There were 2 inverts that my husband had a phobia of. He managed to get over the roach one enough to hold one, but I think we'll have to let the centipede fear slide. If he can do it (he had this fear for years) you can!

Whoa..centipedes? Ouch ouch ouch....

millipedes, i can accept but after seeing my cousin's thumb swollen from a centipede bite, I'd take heed. =)

Yeah, I'm not so fond of them either, but he can't even LOOK at them!

Insects are by far the healthiest diet for frogs. Lowest in fat (overall to the exception of superworms, mealworms, and butterworms which are all very high in fat). Crickets are the lowest in fat, high in fiber, and an excellent staple with other insects for treats.

Most of my frogs I feed by hand (plastic tongs). Some of them are so spoiled by this method they forgot how to catch bugs on their own!

Let's put it this way-the most natural diet a frog has are bugs.

I have aquatic Clawed Frogs that never eat crickets (well, sometimes they do, but they don't have to.) I feed them dried tubifex-worm squares and also brine shrimp (frozen.) They basically eat anything that hits the water. They never need to go up on land, either.

And humans are supposed to be the world's most intelligent, civilized, and refined species, eh? Have you ever been in a crowded discount store?

if tiny little fruitflies (fruitwalks really) don't bother you then dart frogs or mantella's are an option...other than that, get a dog

Have a look at some newts or salamanders, the are very neat creatures and most eat plant pellets.
