Ok, i went to the vet today w/ my leopard female casper and my vet tells me that all the swelling, her inactivity, her rapid weight loss (can see her ribs now when she breathes), and her barely being able to mover her right arm are due to a bacterial infection. This doesn't sound right to me at all. Here is where she is swollen/swelling up: Front fingers (slowly, all beginning to swell), swelling underneath left arm, swollen right elbow, swelling below right arm next to her chest, right-back ankle is extremely swollen, left foot is beginning to swell. I personally don't believe that all this is caused by her pregnancy, since my other girl is thriving. Also, i was wondering if it is a problem when eggs are layed stuck to each other and if her being sick has anything to do w/ it? Key points here: redness that seems to be spreading, w/ redness comes swelling later, rapid weightloss, and inactivity/immobility (she can no longer stretch her right arm, as if she has lost all control of it). Someone, anyone, please help me. I've never been more afraid of what might happen to her if I can't get a proper diagnosis.
