New gecko (picture)

Mayo Apr 05, 2004 04:43 PM

Yesterday someone posted a picture of their new gecko that they got for $20. I couldn't find that thread to post this picture. But I had said I got one for $15 on Saturday that looked almost the same. Here is a picture. What do you think?

Matt

I will get a better picture soon and some of the other two.

i was just wondering if thta is a normal morph. i just got mine and cant get a good pic of her yet and she has the same coleration and pattern but is slighty darker.

Yours is a little different than the other persons. The other person had a nice hypo tangerine and you have a nice normal. Both are very nice geckos though for an excellent price!

Hmmm...It is still kinda young, but on my screen it looks more like a dark yellow, than a tang. If i had to guess I would say that the gecko will gain quite a few more spots and could possibly be a high-yellow, but from the colors I see, it doesn't really look like a tang. Our screens could have different color resolutions though, so that could be the reason why we disagree on the colors?

That could be true... On my comp it sure looks like its awefully orange...however, whether its gaining or losing spots doesn't change what the color is. It could have normal spotting and still be a tang.

The color is definitely an orange. I just bought out of a group of different looking. THe label said leu., albino, high yellow, hypo, jungle. I picked up 3 of them for $45. I will post some better pics when I get some weight on them. I will take with an object that we all know the color of, so as to have something to relate to.

Yes I know spotting has nothing to do with color. I was explaining why I thought it was going to be a normal. It still looks dark yellow on my screen.
